Guestbook

We arrived and were met by the gentleman who looks after the property. He gave us the guided tour.  It was spotlessly clean and much larger than we thought, and beautifully appointed.

Everything was catered for and more.  It was perfect.

My wife is a professional chef and was very pleased with the level of equipment in the kitchen.

She loved getting up early to go round to the village square where there was an adhoc market for a few hours in the morning.

She bought the freshest tuna we have ever tasted and grilled it on the barbeque next to the pool.

We ate very well indeed, beautiful red prawns, octopus, squid, gilt head bream….

The local area was beautiful. We sat in the square in the evening as it got cooler and watched the world go by.

We hired a speedboat, a buggy thing and the girls went horse riding.  I sat in the sunshine for the most part and did very little at all.

We all agreed that we had a thoroughly relaxing two weeks and will most definitely be coming back.

It was a very comfortable peaceful beautiful home and we were honoured to be allowed to stay there.

We were all very sad to leave.

We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Xaghra. The house is charming, full of character, clean and spacious. It’s very tranquil but only a very short walk to cafes and restaurants in the main square. Nearby towns and lovely beaches are also easily accessible if you hire a car. We have young children who loved the pool and the toy chest. Everyone we met there was warm, friendly and helpful which added to the whole experience. The process of booking and hiring a car was seamless and Sue has been super helpful throughout. We will definitely be returning.

The property is very beautiful and spacious. It is equipped to a very high standard and is one of the best self catering properties we have stayed in. This is the first time we have taken our two children abroad and the whole process, and organisation from the owners made it really easy and simple. The property was well equipped for the children, and with the pool and toys for them, my husband and I could truly relax. The location was lovely with the town being very child friendly. We were made to feel at home by all the locals. Buses and taxis were very easy to use when visiting all the historic locations (lots of which were in walking distance) and with everyone speaking good English our holiday was really easy. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and would love to visit again.

The house is spacious in a good position in the little town. It's only 10/15 minutes away from a good beach with gently shelving sands and sunshades to hire. The island is tiny so nowhere is very far away and there are lots of places to eat. Excellent baby equipment and also toys and books. Extremely pleasant, helpful and efficient owners.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was lovely, the rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, the location was perfect - a very short walk to town but peaceful and private. The town itself is small but perfectly formed, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. On top of that, the booking process was very smooth and efficient - Sue was really helpful. We hope to return!
